Real Mycelium
-
What is Real Mycelium™ and how is it made?
Real Mycelium™ is 100% pure Lion's Mane mycelium. Mycelium is the part of the fungus that grows beneath the surface, often described as the "root-like network." -
What's the difference between Real Mycelium™ and mycelium fermented grain?
This is one of the most important distinctions in the mushroom supplement category. -
I thought Real Mushrooms was anti-mycelium?
We've never been anti-mycelium. Mycelium is a natural part of the fungal life cycle. -
Are there any fillers, binders, or grain in Real Mycelium™?
No. Real Mycelium™ contains pure, freeze-dried Lion's Mane mycelium with no grain, rice, oats, starch fillers, or binders. -
Erinacine A is a naturally occurring compound found only in Lion's Mane mycelium, not in the mushroom (fruiting body).
-
How is Real Mycelium™ different from your original Lion's Mane?
Both come from Lion's Mane, but they're made from different parts of the fungus. -
ErinaPrime™ is the trademarked Lion's Mane mycelium ingredient used in Real Mycelium™.
-
Where is Real Mycelium™ made, and is it tested for quality?
Real Mycelium™ contains ErinaPrime™, which is sourced from Taiwan. It's produced through submerged liquid culture fermentation and freeze-drying. -
Why does the Real Mycelium™ label say "Contains Milk and Soy"? Is it vegan?
Real Mycelium™ is not considered vegan. During the fermentation process, milk-derived protein and soy protein isolate are used as food sources in the liquid nutrient broth that grows the Lion's Mane mycelium. -
Why does Real Mycelium™ cost more than your other Lion's Mane products?
Real Mycelium™ is made very differently from our Lion's Mane Mushroom Extract. It's pure Lion's Mane mycelium grown through submerged liquid culture fermentation, with no grain substrate, starch, or fillers, and it's standardized to 5 mg of Erinacine A per serving.
