Is there Xylitol in your Chaga extract?

Here is what we can tell you about xylitol as it relates to our Chaga extract:

Chaga is a fungus that grows on Birch trees and relatives of the birch tree. When the fungus grows into the tree bark it absorbs molecules, including the tree sugar, xylan, into its cankerous growth on the tree. When that exuberant growth is harvested to be used, these molecules of xylan will be included in the Chaga canker.

Xylitol, which is highly toxic to dogs and cats, is a sugar alcohol derived from xylan. It is not naturally occurring in the birch tree or Chaga canker and needs to be chemically converted in a laboratory to make xylitol.

There is no xylitol in our Chaga extract.
